Yahoo has signed a deal with Acresso Software, in order to expand its search operations on the personal computers, by nailing a pact with a software packaging firm.
Acresso’s growth is mounted by it’s entertainment company Macrovision, also makes widely used tool “Instashield“, this technology is used by administrators to install new PC programs.
Under this deal, Acresso will distribute to its bubbling customers base of more than 500 million computer users — The Yahoo tool bar and other add ons for the browsers.
The deal has been canvassed to keep Yahoo from losing it’s share to Google.
