Days of our Lives opens with a scene on John’s private jet. With all the load noise and the not-so-smooth ride, John approached the pilots and asks them what’s going on. One of the pilots admitted that they don’t know what the problem is, except that the plane is getting harder and harder to fly. John took control and gave instructions on how to manage the situation. He seemed to be remembering something from his past when he was still a pilot, but was distracted when a pilot told him that they have no mechanical connection to any flight control services.
In Salem , Victor was at the park picking up tulips. Caroline arrived and they had some heart-to-heart talk. Victor was sad that he was not with Bo while the child grew up, but was also happy that he was raised by two good people. Caroline told him that though Shawn is a good father, Victor’s blood still runs on Bo’s veins. Victor gave the tulip to Caroline, grateful for her ability of bringing out his good side. They then recalled how they ended up making Bo. Caroline admitted that she was in love with him way back then but he went away. While Victor was gone, she and Shawn got closer and eventually married and had children. Victor returned to Salem , at a time when Shawn was always away on business trips. They had, as they called it, a moment’s indiscretion. Caroline kept it a secret until she found out that she was pregnant. They made a pact that they will only reveal the truth to Bo when he is already an adult. In flashback scenes, we see the reaction of Bo upon finding out about his roots.
Back in the plane, the situation just got worse. Steve told everyone that they have no radios to call for help and they lack instruments. The pilots have also lost control and they are now losing cabin pressure.
Will they make it? Find out on the next episode of Days of Our Lives.

Emi Encore uses an encore marketing technique that includes the image of Nipper the Dog. Nipper has been used as a mascot for more than 100 years, the classic image of the dog and the trumpet -- which in addition to EMI has been associated with RCA, Victor, RCA Victor, and JVC. -- is well recognized as a symbol of quality and excellence. Therefore, when potential customers see this label they immediately know that the product is from a reputable company. They feel a sense of trust and feel confident that the product is one of quality, which of course, helps to promote more sales.
Nipper was a real dog. He was born in 1884 and lived in Bristol, England. Nipper’s first owner was Mark Henry Barraud, who died in 1887, leaving Nipper to his brothers, Philip and Francis. Nipper died in 1895. It was actually after Nipper’s death in 1899 that Francis filed an application for copyright to a painting of the dog and a phonograph. Although the painting was not immediately a success, after some modifications it became the trademark of Victor and HMV records, HMV music stores, and RCA. Nipper’s legacy spread from there, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Encore marketing uses either Nipper or “Angel,” the cherub seated on a disc, on all of its CDs. Once again, these are well recognized labels that are associated with quality and for being easy savers. Encore is recognized as a quality brand and a reputable company. This is an excellent marketing strategy called branding. People come to associate the name with the label and one relates to the other.

Rick Starr is a classical music buff who studies marketing techniques. When he recently purchased an Encore CD, he wondered about the Nipper label and how it affected the
encore marketing strategies. After a little research Starr was very impressed with the strategy, although it is a variation of one that is used frequently by most companies, just on a smaller scale. However, Starr was just as impressed with the quality of crystal clear sound provided by his inexpensive CDs. He plans to use this
easy saver method to build his musical library.
